Spider-Man 2 will feature two main antagonists in Venom and Kraven, with lingering plot threads for Wraith and Kingpin present as well as confirmation that figures like The Lizard exist in the universe, there might be plenty of foes for the wallcrawlers to fight in the next game.
There will likely be some notable members of Marvels Spider-Man 2 that players are not expecting to see. While many might want to see notable members of the friendly neighborhood hero''s rogues gallery like Sandman and Mysterio, it would be equally as interesting to see Doctor Michael Morbius get some time to shine. If he gets his own quest line, the villain might end up taking the show.
Redemption For The Morbius Character
Sonys Morbius film was a hit both critically and commercially, although it featured some hilarious memes. However, this does not mean that the character should be avoided in the gaming world. On the contrary, Morbius'' morally gray character and his shifting motivations might make him an attractive choice for a side character, with Insomniac Games able to make him either a full-on villain or a reluctant friend like Silver Sable.
Insomniac Games would instantly solve the problem with the Morbius film and Sony''s Spider-Man universe. These are a few notable examples of El Muerto''s film, but seeing a Kraven who is unable to hunt his most sought-after prey and an Eddie Brock with no hatred for Peter Parker is odd. However, insomniac would have two Spider-Mens to tie together, allowing for classic Morbius stories to be recalled via Miles.
How Spider-Man 2 Content Could Be From Morbius
Like Tombstone in the original Marvels Spider-Man, Morbius should feature his own chain of connected side quests, resulting in the missions culminating in a battle against the vampire. These missions could start with a vampire appearing above ground, introducing a completely unique enemy type to the game. These vampires could have super speed, strength, and teleportation, allowing them to spot Miles even when he is invisible.
Miles and/or Peter might see them down below ground after discovering a lair in the sewers. This would not only be a breakthrough from the typical New York City aesthetic, but would also be more difficult. While players would be forced to make less mistakes because they might be able to close the distance quickly.
Eventually, a long boss battle with Morbius might be brought up, with Miles and Peter both fighting the villain. Outside of a greater health, some sort of bleed effect for his attacks might be a great way to differentiate him from the other vampires, according to Insomniac. With the ability to provide a unique location, special enemies, and a strong story, Morbius should absolutely appear in some future Marvels Spider-Man series.
The sequel to Marvels Spider-Man is scheduled to be released on PS5.
