The trailer for Gotham Knights teases Nightwing's Glider and Red Hood's bizarre tale ...

The first installment of Gotham Knights is aimed at Red Hood and Nightwing, while the two ex-Robins became Bat-Family veterans. They are seen traversing Gotham''s rooftops, fighting petty crime, and infiltrating the Court of Owls while also fleeing from point to point with the Fast-Bat.

The trailer for Nightwing begins with his newly-discovered glider and trapeze, which is a more technological-based approach that can hover and fly him upward, emblazoned with a larger version of the Fast-Bat. The Fast-Bat, for example, is a giant black mechanical bat that brings our heroes to and from locations.

Red Hood meanwhile, has a powerful soul energy called Mystical Leap, essentially creating a transparent green trampoline of spirits that he can use in order to escape the skies, but also in order to make the grapple easier. He has this ability because, like in comics, he was resurrected.

Red Hood isn''t as lethal as his comic counterpart. Though he does have piercing ammo and bombs to keep enemies safe, he says. They''re also used in his new Barrage capabilities, in which he unleashes two pistols at foes to do devastating damage.

Two of Nightwing''s abilities are also revealed, including Elemental Shock, who isn''t armour or handles direct damage, while Cryostasis freezes enemies to avoid action, giving you extra space to take on groups. But not every enemy will be so easy to take down. Later in the story, there''s a new look at the Court of Owls'' engineered superhumans who dress like the Talon. These are tougher to take down and can return from death for more.

A deeper insight into how character selection works: If you''re playing solo, you may decide who you want to play as for each mission, according to the trailer. Nightwing infiltrates a Court of Owl''s base, but we see that same mission with the player using Red Hood, meaning characters are interchangeable.

Aside from that, there''s a deeper look at the Belfry - our main business - for cosmetics, upgrades, multi-hero takedowns, the Batcycle, the co-op, the workbench, the Bat Computer, and more. However, the game starts off with a Batcycle cosmetic called 233 Kustom, which you can earn by pre-ordering before its October launch.
