Kirby 64 Is Coming To Nintendo Switch Online's Expanding Pack ...

Nintendo announced intentions for its expanded expansion pack last year, including access to a library of N64 and Sega Genesis games Nintendo has been adding to since the service began. The N64 games have been increased at a rate of one month throughout 2022, and today the next game from the classic console will be added to the NSO.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards will be the next N64 game added to NSO''s Expansion Pack. While Kirby and The Forgotten Land''s more recent game was actually the pink puffball''s first fully 3D game, Kirby 64 was still technically a sidescroller, and it was not the first time Kirby had previously spawned in Super Smash Bros. on the same console.

Crystal Shards and The Forgotten Land have reimagined how Kirby uses his copy ability. While the Switch game introduced Mouthul Mode, Kirby limited to seven copy abilities, but the protagonist may carry two at a time, allowing him to combine them into unique new abilities.

Kirby 64 will join NSO''s Expansion Pack on May 20, bringing the total number of N64 games available through the subscription service to 15. Mario Golf was previously included on the list, and F-Zero the month before. Other N64 games already included in the Expansion Pack include Yoshi''s Story, Super Mario 64, and Ocarina Of Time, which was recently added to the Video Game Hall of Fame.

Additional perks include access to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe''s new tracks as well as Animal Crossing: New Horizons content. The initial issues with the Expansion Pack''s N64 games imply that the development of the game has been addressed.
