Before beginning Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt, Here are 10 Things We Wish We Know ...

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt has been shipped onto the PC and PlayStation 5, a new intriguing battle royale that has sunk its teeth into players. Set in Prague, you must combat adversaries and the formidable forces of The Entity, all while never permitting humans to get rid of secret wars sweeping through the streets and rooftops.

An offensive against all vampires has been established, and each of the clans is looking to return what they have. Whether you''re an experienced fan of the battle royale genre, or you are a newbie who has come for the love of everything vampires and the lore, this title may initially become tricky. Newcomers will surely appreciate these tips.

11 The Tutorial Will Be Very Important

If you''ve played similar games before, chances are that you skip the tutorial. However, Bloodhunt will be developed to make sure you eliminate your enemies and be the last one standing. There are also a few new limitations to each of the clans archetypes or classes, which you may choose to hunt with.

The Toreador clan is well-known in terms of ability. They can stimulate humans, making healing easier. Each class has strengths and weaknesses, so you should try them out in the experiment before entering the competitive world of online play.

10 You Must Beware The Bloodhunt

In this chapter, secrecy above all else is sacred among all vampires, and it''s as true as ever. Despite all the turmoil and combat that the in-game city is subject to, the humans that live there are none the wiser as to your true vampire nature.

Break this rule by utilizing or performing inhuman feats in front of non-vampires, and you will be marked for a Bloodhunt. Your location on the map will be revealed for 60 seconds, a beacon leading enemies straight to you. In this frightening dark fantasy world, you''ll need to avoid attracting attention wherever you can.

9 Your Targets Will Try To Hide From You

Both the hunter and the hunter must be aware of those who are also hiding within The Masquerade seeking to take you down. This is where your deepened senses really come into play.

Increased senses are beneficial for finding items and those with Blood Resonance. Unlike others, they''ll assist you in finding other people who are attempting to mix in with the animals on the streets. Vampires can always select each other out in a crowd once their senses kick in. Set up the perfect stealth takedown.

8 The Rooftops Offer Important Advantages

With vampire abilities and strength, there are lots of ways to navigate the field, gaining an advantage over your opponents in the process. These supernaturally gifted warriors have no regard for walls and other obstacles, and as a result, they can quickly gain the height advantage during each round.

Other small, hidden gems, such as gear and ammo, are scattered across the rooftops. If you sift through enough of them, you may discover the likes of the elusive Armor. Although it isn''t as common as some other weapons, it may give you a game-changing advantage.

7 Timing Is Key When Using Items Like Armor

When you get your hands on that piece of Armor, it''s best to be mindful of where and when you put it on during a scuffle. Your neck will be open to anyone who wants to have a bite. Armor, however, comes with a five-second cooldown timer as you apply it.

Although you may still be able to move out of harm''s way, the animation isn''t locked when it comes to movement, but you will be limited to use any weapons, and your speed will be reduced to a walk during this brief period. Obviously, remember to keep an eye on your surroundings before shooting up.

6 Melee Combat Isn''''t Just A Backup Plan

The game''s focus on gunplay and superpowers might show off that classic melee weapons aren''t capable of defeating your opponents. This is true to a certain extent (a pistol at a safe distance versus a bat is an easy win for obvious reasons) nevertheless, if you are lucky enough to find a Katana or a Scourge Blade, you have gained some extra abilities. They''re fantastic melee weapons.

A Scourge Blade gives you the ability to lunge toward your target at impossible speeds, setting you up for a quick kill or even a Diablerie (a finisher in which you drain the soul of your target vampire for extra XP). The Katana is truly special: it allows you to return bullets back to the shooter, making it ideal for quick defensive maneuvers.

Different bonuses will be given to 5 feeding on different kinds of human.

Humans roam Prague''s dark streets without being aware of the kinds of supernatural violence occurring on the streets. Fortunately for you, they are ready for the take. There are four types of humans that offer you Blood Resonance, as well as certain advantages to your clan or archetype abilities.

These four human types are:

  • Choleric: Orange-hued humans that will boost your melee damage. Good for those who love the in-your-face play style.
  • Melancholic: Purple auras that reduce the cooldown of the clan-based abilities.
  • Sanguine: Humans with a pink aura, which boosts your healing speed a bit.
  • Phlegmatic: Reduces the cooldown of your archetype or job-based abilities.

While hunting, you must always remember to stay true to The Masquerade. Seize these benefits at the opportune moment, and your success will be a factor.

There''s a ''Hidden'' Extra Life To Discover,'' according to the 4K.

There is one additional form of Blood Resonance you may discover, but it may sometimes be very elusive. A person who has a red aura of Blood Resonance will also be able to prolong a life, but only if you''ve died once. There''s a further caveat, however: during the match, you are only able to have one spare life.

This isn''t all bad news, however. If you find yourself needing to heal, and they are the only Blood Resonance you can find, they will still heal you and come in handy when you need it.

Two people confronting the entity can gain high-quality gear.

The weapons you find on the ground and rooftops are sturdy enough to complete the job. However, you''ll need to take on an anti-vampire group called The Entity, which was specifically selected by the Vatican, with the aim of killing all vampires and returning them to the fringes of darkness.

The Entity''s fighters are much stronger than those you find hunting in the streets, but they keep some truly powerful weapons on their bases around the map. However, seeking it out is also quite risky.

To resurrect health in a puff, you may simply reintroduce The Red Gas.

As with most battle royale games, there is an ever-shrinking border present. In this case, The Entity has developed a bioweapon that is used to hunt and herd vampires into ambush sites: Red Gas. Getting caught inside the gas causes overwhelming pain and drains your HP, making the Red Gas Neutralizer a great asset to your arsenal.

If you are playing near the gas''s border, the Red Gas Neutralizer may be used to gain the advantage on a target. As with all high-risk plays, this one can backfire horribly. Always look cautious.
