CBS has ordered the True Lies TV series ...

CBS has decided to put the trigger on a series order for True Lies, a television reboot of the 1994 action-comedy headed by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis.

The CBS series follows Helen, an unfulfilled suburban housewife (played by Im Dying Up Heres Ginger Gonzaga) who is shocked to discover that Harry (Shameless Steve Howey) is a well-known international spy.

As they seek to resurrect their passionless marriage, the marrieds are forced into a life of danger and adventure. Helen is recruited to work alongside Harry to save the world.

Erica Hernandez (Power Book II: Ghost), Omar Miler (Ballers), Mike OGorman (Vice Principals), Annabella Didion (Outer Banks) and Lucas Jaye (Fuller House) are some of the cast''s most popular characters.

James Cameron and Rae Sanchini, McG, Mary Viola, and Corey Marsh, Josh Levy, and filmmaker Anthony Hemingway were among the stars of the True Lies EPs. (A previous adaptation, developed by Fox in late 2017 but was never ordered to series, had Arrow co-creator Matt Guggenheim attached.)

Three additional hour-longs have been ordered by CBS: Fire Country, starring SEAL Teams Max Thieriot; East New York, which follows the newly promoted police captain (Dickinsons Amanda Warren) of East New York; and So Help Me Todd, a dangerous P.I. (Zoeys Extraordinary Playlists), who unfavorably agrees to work for his abusive legal eagle mother Joan (Marcia Gay Harden).
