Season 2 of 'American Auto' has been renewed by NBC ...

Season 2 of American Auto is now available on NBC. Justin Spitzer (Scrubs, Superstore) is the creator of the series, which premiered in December 2021. This episode of the first season, which premiered over two months ago, is a welcome surprise for viewers of the show.

After hiring CEO Katherine Hasting (Ana Gasteyer) from the world of large pharma, American Auto is a workplace comedy set in Detroit. NBC is a known home for workplace shows, especially after shows such as The Office and Superstore. Despite the ratings, the series is fresh and fairly popular on NBC''s streaming service, Peacock.

The rest of the cast includes Harriet Dyer (The Invisible Man) as COO Sadie and Jon Barinholtz (Superstore) as Wesley, the grandson of the previous CEO. Tye White (Greenleaf), Michael Benjamin Washington (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Humphrey Ker (Mythic Quest) and X Mayo (The Farewell) are among the roles. Season 1 will include ten episodes, although NBC does not detail how many episodes it will include

After Young Rock, American Auto is the second NBC sitcom to air renewed. Among them are Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Bradley Constant, Uli Latukefu, Matthew Willig, Randall Park, and Rosario Dawson. Not all shows received great news, however, as Ted Danson''s Mr. Mayor was canceled after two seasons. The sitcom also included Holly Hunter and Bobby Moynihan.

This past television season, new network sitcoms have experienced a resurgence. CBS found great success with their new comedy Ghosts (a similar name) while ABC''s Abbott Elementary increased its audience significantly throughout its freshman run. Both of those shows were picked up for previously, avoiding the cancellation glitch that normally applies to network shows each May. NBC will certainly be hoping to find similar success with American Auto''s second season.

The first ten episodes of American Auto Season 1 are now available on Peacock.
