Another old friend of Scott McCall is responding to the call back to Beacon Hills. Tyler Hoechlin, who played Scott''s mentor Derek Hale in Teen Wolf, has signed on to join the rest of the returning cast members for the Paramount+ revival program. This time, Hoechlin will also have a 15-year-old son in the tow played by Vince Mattis.

Hoechlin will meet with the vast majority of his old cast members, including Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Crystal Reed, Orny Adams, Colton Haynes, Ryan Kelley, Melissa Ponzio, Ian Bohen, and Khylin Rhambo. O''Brien, however, was just happy to leave his character as he was told to Variety:

It was a tough decision. A lot went into it. The show couldn''t be more dear to me. It was the first thing I ever made, but so many people there are extremely dear to me. It all happened very quickly. I just decided it was left in a really good place for me and I still want to leave it there the first night. I''m hoping it kicks back, but I''m not going to be there.
