Hoyoverse, the company behind Genshin Impact and the Honkai series, has a new action game on the way. The game is called Zenless Zone Zero, with its own urban-setting fantasy, as well as a host of colorful characters. The game hasn''t been published yet, but Hoyoverse is letting players sign up for the closed beta on the games website.
According to Hoyoverses, Zenless Zone Zero is set in a metropolitan area after a sort of apocalyptic disaster that involves something called Hollows. Hollows are a portal to another dimension that appears out of nowhere and can let monstrous creatures enter our world. While the Ethereal have destroyed the majority of human history, people in New Eridu have managed to keep alive by extracting resources and technology from the monsters domain to use for themselves.
Players take on the role of a Proxy, which is a guide who assists other people in exploring Hollows. As a Proxy, they will take a variety of characters on their journey through Hollows, tout while combating Ethereal and removing the abilities of the other characters in the party for bigger combos and extra damage.
The game will include roguelike elements, which means that each trip into the Hollows will be a little different. Hoyoverse hasnt announced all of the games yet, but the closed beta test is only on iOS devices and PC.
