Nintendo is forecasting a decrease in profits and sales for the present fiscal year, but its hardware and software are still selling like there is no tomorrow. As of March 31, 2022, the Switch sold more than 107 million units and software sold more than 822 million units.

Nintendo has also recently ranked as one of the "top 10" video game companies in terms of game revenues for 2021, according to a new report by Newzoo (via GamesBeat). This shows how it made $8.1 billion in a year over year, putting it in 8th place just behind Activision Blizzard.

Tencent, the Chinese video game business, was earning more than $32 billion, and Sony, according to reports. Companies like EA, Activision Blizzard, and Microsoft also showed a lot more growth than previous years. Together, the top 10 generated a total of $126 billion in 2021.
