Square Enix continues to grow to financial success in Final Fantasy XIV ...

Square Enix continues to generate a solid profit as a result of the tepid growth of income from other non-MMO games produced by the company.

According to a financial report, net sales at the company decreased from the previous fiscal year. The high-definition game sub-segment includes games like Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy and OUTRIDERS. Last year, the company invested additional money in Final Fantasy VII remake and Marvels Avengers.

All other sectors of the company, including mobile gaming, amusement, merchandising, and publication, all saw mixed results. Generally, most categories had a slight increase in net sales, although some also increased operating expenses, and the amusement category suffered a little due to a temporary closure of amusement facilities due to COVID-19.

Final Fantasy XIV is still doing well in recent fiscal reports. The game''s monthly subscribers increased from last year, and the recent expansion pack brought more people back to the game, who may have had it down for a while. The expansion pack even failed to sell it for a while, allowing them to try and get more people into the game.

Final Fantasy XIV developers arent slowing down either. They just introduced a new housing ward, several new adventures to participate in, and are even slowly improving the appearance of the game. Players receive frequent content updates before new things go out, and are generally transparent with issues in the game, which has clearly kept them with their wallets at the ready.
