The New York Subliners rolled their way through the Pro-Am Classic one week before the start of the Stage Three qualifiers, but were unable to replicate their successes when it faced the 2021 CDL Champions. Despite their lackluster performance at the Pro-Am, FaZe climbed 1-0 in their group, starting the Stage off right.
Berlin was the first Hardpoint map in the series, with HyDra and Crimsix winning with 1.04 KDs. However, the Subliners'' team map victory dwindled, and Arcitys suffered a similar impact.
New York would have to return on the Control to lead the series. It was a near-perfect performance from Atlanta to win the map 3-1, and take a 2-1 lead in the series. Tuscan Hardpoint would be the second Hardpoint in the series, with Atlanta winning 250-225 points.
The Boston Breach will be up next for the Subliners, who are hoping to bounce back against Boston on Sunday, May 15, while Atlanta will face the Breach on Saturday, May 20.
