The Norm Macdonalds posthumous version of Nothing Special will be released on Netflix on May 30 ...

Earlier this week, we announced that late, legendary Norm Macdonald had left behind a comedy series that would be released on Netflix. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it now has a name and an air date.

On May 30, Norm Macdonald: Nothing Special will be available on Netflix. Lori Jo Hoekstra, Macdonalds'' decades-long confidant and producing partner, was perhaps the only person who knew when Macdonald was alive. She explained its terrifying origins to HR:

During the heart of the COVID-19 epidemic and literally the night before going into a procedure, he wanted to get this on tape just in case as he put things south. It was his intention to have a special to share if something happened.

In a single take, Macdonald filmed everything at his apartment in his own house. He wanted to do the material in front of an audience, but he ended up getting sicker last August and September, according to Hoekstra. He asked him to get the recording before going away from leukemia on September 14, 2021.

Hoekstra said, as for the content of the special, he looks fantastic and the materials are fantastic.

David Spade, a friend, co-worker, and disgruntled text recipient of Macdonalds, spoke about the upcoming episode, adding that he was one of six people who watched it after the Hollywoods Celebrating Norm event on May 3. Although he cried from sadness, he likely regretted laughing because it was the norm. He was much smoother than my special, according to Spade.

No one has heard of any comparison to this, not even close, recalled Hoekstra. He was successful because he loved his material and was so proud of his ability to do so. He did it for the stand-up. I just hope people appreciate that he did this.

Check out this one-of-a-kind series on Netflix on May 30.
