Elizabeth Olsen reveals her understanding of Scarlet Witch's history

Elizabeth Olsen reveals her understanding of Scarlet Witch's history ...

Some actors do a lot of research for their roles, digging deep into the lore of the character, which they are about to embody. When it comes to superheroes there is often so much history there it may be difficult to retain all of it, actor Elizabeth Olsen faces the challenge as she answers trivia questions about Wanda Maximoff, who is already a Marvel superhero.

Olsen spoke with POPSUGAR to discuss her most recent film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She also asked questions about the actors'' roles and how they performed in the community.

Olsen has been portraying Wanda Maximoff since the 2015 Avengers: Age of Ultron (though yes, she did have a quick uncredited comeo in Captain America: Winter Soldier) and has now appeared in six films within the MCU, as well as leading her own mini-series WandaVision. Not only that, but the comic book character made her first appearance back in 1964, so that is a lot of history to cover!

The actress answers questions such as What is the term used for Scarlet Witchs hand movements? and more obscure ones like, In the comics, Wanda is nannied by a creature that has the same traits?

The former is easy for the actress, who evidently uses the hand gestures a lot in her performance and has been dubbed wiggly-woos.

Because the A.D department who was on Age of Ultron were from Harry Potter, they called the magic in Harry Potter wiggly-woos, and so they called what I did wiggly-woos.

The second aspect was a little less difficult, with the actress guessing a dog-beast when the correct answer was cow.

You may see the Scarlet Witch in her latest trailer in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in theaters right now.
