8 Improvements to Make It Go From Good to Great in Rune Factory 5

8 Improvements to Make It Go From Good to Great in Rune Factory 5 ...

Rune Factory 5 is a story-driven RPG that provides you with hours of gameplay, including adventure, combat, relationship building, and farming. Being the fifth game in the series would mean that the developers have had four previous games to learn from and improve. However, even with these previous attempts, the game still has room for improvement.

Some of the reasons that Rune Factory 5 would make it a fantastic game include expanding on what the game currently has or implementing small quality of life changes. There are also a few steps that may be added that would improve the overall experience.

8 Include Map Information

Through monsters and ores, Dungeons provide much-needed information, but the only way to know what''s inside is by physically traveling to one person. However, this can be very tedious, even if you warp there. A more effective way to do this is to provide the information via the map.

If you hover over a warp location and see what it contained, you might easily see what it contained. If it contained rocks, it might also indicate the number of ores or gemstones in the area. If the location contained monsters, it might also indicate the name, the level range, and items dropped.

7 Auto-Lock Staves

In Rune Factory 5, there are a tussle of skills, many of which are dedicated abilities for each weapon type. This isnt the case for staves.

You can even spam the attack button when you focus on a particular enemy. However, most staves are unable to auto-lock and must rely on the games lock-on. This makes you vulnerable to attack and lowers your damage per second.

6 Add Additional Animation

A stunning 2D animated scene is needed to introduce each romanceable character. It''s like a top-notch anime. The colors are vibrant and stunning, and the animation is smooth. Any other animated scene in Rune Factory 5 is done with 3D animation.

The walk animation is choppy and slow, and there are a trough of white screens where the characters are suddenly in a new state. Instead of enticing these lacking 3D scenes with more of their anime-like scenes, the story might be more enticing.

5 Make Cooking Easier

Rune Factory 5, which contains over 180 recipes, is divided between seven cooking stations. If you want to make a Salad at the Cooking Table, you must first make Mayonnaise in the Mixer. This process may be very tedious but could be improved with a designated kitchen area.

This area would allow you to place each crafting station and allow the other to access each station. It would also allow you to filter every recipe non-level but on the basis of available ingredients.

4 Use More Voice Acting

Rune Factory 5 has a talented voice acting character, but it does not allow them to shine. Most of the story is told through character dialog, but rarely any of it is spoken. A majority of voice lines have the character saying a word or two to indicate the tone of their message, but there are quite few fully-voiced lines in the game.

Because there are several areas in the game where you encounter lengthy dialog, fully voice-acted lines would make the experience less tedious. It is also easier to identify who is talking since the games only indicates through the small text above the dialog box.

3 Have Seasonal Dragons

Five Farm Dragons in Rune Factory 5: Earth, Fire, Ice, Wind, and Terra. This allows your crops to be completely dependent on the present season, and since time moves slowly, it may be a while before you can plant in the optimal season.

Instead of the current dragons, there should be one for each season and only one that matches the current season. This would allow the expansion of the small garden with the majority of dragons having the current season, while also allowing you to plant out-of-season crops.

2 Create Transparent Achievements

Rune Factory 5 has a Stamp system that tracks your achievements, but you won''t know what those are until you unlock them. Despite your shady stamping, you won''t receive the name or description, or even give you suggestions to complete them. This leaves you with 81 tricky tasks.

Achievements are something to work towards and give longevity to your game, but they may be difficult to complete if you are not sure what the game considers achievement worthy. Giving a short outline will guide and make the achievement a positive one. This will make them feel like an accomplishment rather than an unexpected event.

1 Implement An Encyclopedia

Like Animal Crossings Critterpedia, some type of encyclopedia might improve Rune Factory 5. It may keep an eye on crops, monsters, ores, gemstones, and recipes. Having a place to check all of these information would save time and prolong the game''s play time.

For the plants, it may provide a list of where to buy them, which season they grow best, and its types of grown. Monster information might include areas they are discovered in, what items they favor, and what items it drops or produces. Lastly, the various ores might also record the items they have purchased.
