Next week, we''ll get more information about The Callisto Protocol, a sci-fi survival thriller, that is, according to the project. It will include horror elements similar to Glen Schofield''s Dead Space series, and that it is set in the same universe as PUBG, but the connection is so loose that it''s almost as if it''s not there.
Schofield has reportedly tweeted that if you don''t follow @CallistoTheGame before, it might be a good time to start. Look for some updates next week. Until then, here''s a closeup of one of our world class character teammates. They''re incredible. Happy Friday the 13th! Get ready!" And once again, Geoff Keighley left the ''eyes'' emoji on it.
Schofield stated that it was almost time for a complete disclosure of The Callisto Protocol. The filmmaker has been sharing project artwork with creepy creatures and a slew of flesh walls.
The connection to PUBG isn''t that strong, so don''t expect to encounter a guy with a frying pan. "We''re now working on the story for PUBG and its universe," Schofield said in an interview. "They have a timeline, and we''ve got some limitations here and there. We''ll likely be going back to another once the game comes out.
As of now, all we know is that the game will be set in the year 2320 in a prison colony known as Black Iron, built on Callisto, the dead moon of Jupiter. Players will be in control of prisoners trapped in the prison as a result of an alien invasion. It appears that the United Jupiter Company that operated the prison was responsible for the invasion and was documenting the fate of the aliens. It sounds like just the setting Glen Schofield might work wonders with.
