Reggie Fils-Aime, a former Nintendo of America president, has spoken out about his recent backlash against his views on NFTs, doubled down on his remarks.
Reggie Fils-Aime admitted to the Internet that he intends to purchase goods from blockchain companies two weeks ago. Many have expressed disdain for this, especially as NFTs have been delaying out and losing their value recently.
Fils-Aime discusses his views on NFTs in a recent interview with GamesBeat, noting that he received criticism for it in the past, and asking him how he feels receiving that feedback, and if it''s made him think more about his stance because of it.
"I think I am fortunate to have lived in this industry long enough to see parallel situations." When free-to-start mobile experiences began, there was a small part of the population who did not like the game. They felt it took away from the gameplay.
Fils-Aime direct points to Fortnite for enhancing the world of mobile gaming, claiming that it has become a reliable and proven source of monetization. Aside from, he claims that it''ll take "capable developers and monetization schemes" to provide a positive experience for the player.
Fils-Aime declares that it''ll only take one good experience to transform blockchain perception, and that: "What it will take for the broad audience to be supportive is a positive experience." Similar to that very first positive experience with a high-end mobile game that monetized in-game. It must be a positive experience where people realize, in the end, that it was an acceptable experience."
Fils-Aime''s response isn''t the one-off message many will have wanted, but it''s now clear that his previous views on blockchain technology were not a one-off line, and that the former Nintendo president is a belief in blockhain.
