Travis Scott has finally returned to the televised stage at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, six months after his reputation was disrupted by the Astroworld tragedy.
Scott performed his Mafia onstage at the show, followed by Lost Forever, which included black and white dancing as dancers swooped into fur-lined suits. With his partner Kylie Jenner and their daughter Stormi, Scott attended the awards event.

Sean Diddy Combs, the event''s host, revealed in anInstagram video that he is the reason why Scott performed at the Billboard Music Awards.
I made a request for the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday; I said, My brother Travis Scott has to perform. I said, he must perform, and NBC said, Yes. Its going down Sunday, Travis Scott will be performing now thats love.
Scotts public appearances have been extremely limited since late last year when ten people died as a result of a crowd-crush at his Astroworld festival in Houston. In an interview back in December 2021, the singer denied hearing any cries for assistance during the concert.
It''s so crazy that I am also that artist. Anytime you hear something like that, you want to stop the program. You want to make sure fans get the proper attention they need, he said. I made the move a few times to just make sure everyone was okay. I just go off the fans'' energy as a collective, call, and response. I just didn''t hear that.
The tragedy has resulted in the closure of many brand partnerships, with Scott facing litigation worth hundreds of millions of dollars. It remains to be seen what long-term impact his reappearance on a televised stage will have.
