In this heist game, the Penguins become more violent ...

Because you know, the Penguins will not have hands, but they will finish the task faster or less. In The Greatest Penguin Heist of All Time, youll meet a ragtag team of bumbling bird buffoons to get rid of heists.

Cool WIP and Polygons have a weekly roundup of eye-catching clips and screenshots of works in progress. Each week, the Polygon staff searches the internet for the most exciting games that are still working to give you a sampler of the most recent up-and-coming projects.

This week, we have a squirrel with a pistol, a game that looks like it''s made of wood, an epic kaiju fight, and a speeding dune buggy.

These penguins will steal the greatest treasure known to penguin-kind (and then your heart)

My friend started beating up a friendly scientist penguin with an explosive barrel. Perhaps I should have told him this was a bad idea... #gamedev #unity3d #indiedev #IndieGameDev pic.twitter.com/Rmm7fr7N9W

A cast of bluff penguins jumps off grand heists in In The Greatest Penguin Heist of All Time. The creator told Polygon via email that the game was inspired by playing Club Penguin and the Metal Gear Solid series. A video on Twitter shows the birds stapling explosives, and one of them picks up a barrel and accidentally smashes it, blowing everything up. On the games Steam page, click here.

Feed this squirrel or suffer its wrath

Squirrel is still a Blender rig, but Houdini enjoys the game! This was quite challenging, but it''s quite fun to see it! #indiedev #gamedev #UnrealEngine #blender3d #Houdini #screenshotsaturday pic.twitter.com/dyLfZGkH0W

Dan DeEntremont, an artist, posted a video of a very real and violent squirrel. In the clip, we see a super-detailed squirrel with lots of fur and everything. It then looks as close to being real as a 3D model could be, but it shoots at the ground to unleash itself into the air. The clip is hilarious, and his pictures are available on his Twitter account.

The most gorgeous wooden world

This little life I might look for years...#indiegame #screenshotsaturday pic.twitter.com/u4cmdmcGj9

Yullia is a game developer working on Woodo. From what Yullia has shown the game so far, it has a stunning 3D design that makes the world look amazing. Light pastel scenes feature a tiny bird with a bobbly head. It''s a WIP Ill definitely keep my eye out for. Yullia''s Twitter page is also for the most recent updates.

Wazen''s work has been described before, and the developer gave a presentation on Saturday. Unlike previous games, the combat was shown against a kaiju. In the clip, the hero attempts to protect a residential area and avoids a chain of combo attacks against the monster. It''s an exciting project, and you can follow it on Wazens Twitter.

Take this dune buggy for a ride

Sean Dick is a game developer working on a little game in which you ride a dune craze through treacherous terrain. A clip shows the little toy-like automobile leaping across huge chasms as it cruises along. He has worked on other racers in the past, so you can check out his previous work on Twitter.
