Julianne Hough is one of the earliest dancers from Dancing with the Stars, but she was well-known before.

According to Interview reports, Hough was born in Utah at the age of 10, and convinced her parents to allow her to train with professional ballroom dancers at a performing arts school in London. She eventually competed in and won international dance competitions.

Hough had a comeo as a school girl in the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, per IMDb in 2001, just six years before she made her debut on DWTS. The following year, she was a dancer at the XIX Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

Hough became a household name owing to the back-to-back mirrorball trophies she won on the ABC celebrity ballroom competition, but her childhood was far from easy. In 2014, she told Redbook that she was brutally bullied as a kid after returning to the United States.

Hough admits that I was bullied during high school and was the new kid. People looked at me like,She believes shes all that. I didnt know how to talk to them, but maybe I did come across that way? I didnt know about him until the day, and he was approached to go prom because he had told him to do it.

Houghs'' appearances have changed a lot since her pre-DWTS appearances. In 2019, she shared a back-and-for-back photo of herself at the age of 14 as she posed with her dad, Bruce Robert Hough, for Fathers Day in 2002.

At the age of 18, she made a throwback photo of her first red carpet show in 2006.

Hough wore a white dress in May 2007, and pulled her hair back for Oceans 13''s premiere at the famous Graumans Chinese Theater in Hollywood. A few months later, she pulled off a short hairstyle for a DWTS celebration party.

While her appearance has changed over the years, Hough is more comfortable with her appearance as an adult. In my 20s, I was so much more comfortable in my skin today than I was 18, according to Hough in 2015. I think a lot of this was related to [being] focused on who I believed people wanted me to be rather than who I truly am.

She admitted that when she was younger she sought out makeup for dance parties. I used to wear so much makeup, she admitted. I think we tend to feel comfortable and it becomes a security blanket to have a lot of makeup on.

In an interview with PopSugar, Hough said that her less is more approach. I used to wear a lot of makeup and bake and contour, but now my whole thing is less is more. I truly enjoy that. It''s refreshing. But those Snapchat filters are pretty amazing.
