The Blacklist Season 9 finale spoilers follow.

Following the season 9 finale, two key cast members of The Blacklist are closing the show and planning to pursue other endeavors.

According to Deadline, Amir Arison, who played FBI Special Agent Aram Mojtabi in the very first season of the show, and Laura Sohn, who played FBI agent Alina Park in season six, have shared their final moments.

Arison is on his way to Broadway in The Kite Runner, an opportunity that he believes "could not pass up." In the meantime, Sohn is on his way to other theaters, although no specific details of these are still being revealed.

Arison has shared a lengthy tweet on Twitter, expressing his gratitude for the show''s fans, cast, and crew.

"The Blacklist has changed my life, I''ve made lifelong friends, learned so much along the way, and have met countless wonderful people from all over the world," he said.

"It is not lost on me how fortunate I am to have had the opportunity to work and evolve with this special cast, crew, and so many dedicated artists for nine years."

As Arison''s character emerges from the FBI and moves to Brooklyn, the finale had even a nod to his next project by declaring that he might see a Broadway show while in New York.

"Aram remains ''alive'' with the possibility of a return at some point,'' says producer John Eisendrath. "It''s so different from this past season," says the author. "I couldn''t have asked for a better outcome."

So far, Sohn has not commented on her departure, and there is no suggestion of a possible return for the character.

The rest of the regular cast, including James Spader, Diego Klattenhoff, Harry Lennix, and Hisham Tawfiq, are expected to return for season 10.

The Blacklist will air on NBC on Fridays, but is yet to have a release in the United Kingdom.
