Womens Lacrosse Championship 2022 Preview

North Carolina (21-0) is looking to finish an unbeaten season, and Boston College (19-3) is looking to win back-to-back titles.

According to the Baltimore Sun, I went to UNC because I knew they would come here. So my intention was based on the fact that UNC is a fantastic school. These girls are the best Ive ever met. I knew that this was their year, and I only wanted a piece of it whether I was on the field or not.

UNC almost lost in the semifinals, defeating Northwestern 15-14 on May 27. Boston College also defeated Maryland 17-16.

The Tar Heels rallied against Northwestern, trailing 14-7 in the fourth quarter. Eight unanswered goals put the hosts on the pitch. Geiersbach scored the last four of the UNCs goals.

Geiersbach told us by USA Lacrosse Magazine that this might be our last look at it. For me, it was just putting everything into there for them, putting it on the line, and rescuing us from this embarrassment.

Boston College trailed Maryland 16-13 with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter before a late rally. Cassidy Weeks scored the game-winning goal for the Eagles.

I knew that anyone on our team would score for the moment. Weeks said via Inside Lacrosse. I just saw the chance opening. I knew Caitlin [Mossman] would throw it, and I just put it away.

UNC and Boston College met twice already during the season. The Tar Heels took both games against the Eagles. UNC won 16-9 over the Eagles 16-9 in the ACC championship game on May 7. UNC defeated the Eagles 16-15 in the first meeting on March 20.

The Celtics have a 0-2 victory over the Tar Heels this season, so the defending national champions may be held as an underdog. According to head coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein, the Eagles are adamant.

We have reached five Final Fours, but I think people still underestimate us, according to Acacia Walker-Weinstein via USA Lacrosse Magazine. It''s important to recognize that these guys are motivating.
