In the first trailer for her new action-thriller Last Seen Alive, Thor star Jaimie Alexander avoids a disappearing act.
In this intense high-stakes drama about a man who is racing against time to attempt and find his missing wife, she joins Gerard Butler.
The first step of Last Seen Alive is directed by Will Spann (Butler), who is driving his soon-to-be ex-wife Lisa (Alexander) to her parents'' house when she mysteriously disappears without a trace during a stop at a gas station. A frantic Will then engages local cops and Lisa''s parents in a desperate attempt to find her.
As time passes, the suspicion becomes the case, and he has to take matters into his own hands as he seizes into the town''s criminal underbelly while on the run from the authorities in a quest to find Lisa.
The film was directed by director Brian Goodman (What Doesn''t Kill You) and was later directed by Marc Frydman.
Alexander''s Lisa speaks to Butler''s Will in the trailer. "I think we need a break," she says.
"What''s the matter? Is it the warrant? I know I''ve never met this person," Will tells the audience.
"I don''t know what it is, but I don''t feel anything anymore," Lisa says before the trailer wraps around Will asking a shopkeeper if he saw his wife.
Will''s extensive search for his wife is brought to light in the trailer. The police investigate a CCTV footage of Lisa''s disappearance and the subsequent questioning of Will, where they ask him if he''s been cheating on his wife: "How is your marriage? Have you ever had an affair?"
"No, I haven''t had an affair," he vehemently denies.
"Has your wife?" asks the cop.
Butler''s Will has no answer to this question.
As the footage unfolds, we see some high-intensity shots of Butler being covered in dirt, fighting a guy, and then engaging in an intense shoot-off.
"I''m a simple guy. I have no special abilities. No Secret Service, no Special Force." In a voiceover, he says. "If someone harms my wife, there will be hell to pay."
On June 10, The Last Seen Alive will be released on Sky Cinema.
