According to a developer at Bungie, Twilight Garrison, a well-known and dangerous Titan Exotic from Destiny will not be returning to Destiny 2 anytime soon.
Kevin Yanes, the sandbox discipline leader for Destiny 2, responded Thursday night to a Twitter user who discussed Twilight Garrison. Yanes said the Titans will never get air dodge back my guy. It''s part of the Warlock identity. I''m sorry but I want to remove it.
Twilight Garrison was a classic chest piece from the first series, The Taken King. It included the unique perk Tactical Air Support, which granted its wearer an in-air dodge. Titan players who spent a lot of time in the Crucible used this Exotic to great effect, adding additional mobility to Destinys'' beefiest class.
Some fans have wanted Twilight Garrison back for a long time, but as Yanes pointed out in his tweet, players who want in-air mobility should just play Warlock. Exotic''s three Artifacts enable them to tap a button and dodge mid-air like Twilight Garrison used to for Titans. For Warlock players, it would likely devalue them and their unique abilities. Of course, this reasonable argument didn''t go over well with fans who respect their favorite armor piece.
The original question thread and most of Yanes previous tweets have been removed by the author. According to Protheon, the community manager for Destiny Tracker, the thread received a lot of displeasure prior to its deletion, causing Yanes to just leave the conversation altogether.
Bungie hasnt always been stick to its guns when it comes to saying that certain characters or items would never return to Destiny looking at you, Exo Stranger, but as long as the Warlocks have access to their Icarus Dash, Twilight Garrison will be a distant memory.
