About Jack Charles ( The Film Narrator)

Jack Charles, an Australian actor, musician, potter, and an Aboriginal elder, was born on September 5, 1943.

Jack Charles was brought up in a Salvation Army Boys Home in Box Hill, Melbourne, where he was the only Aboriginal child and was sexually abused.

Mr. Charles was a petty thief and a drug addict.

Namila Benson''s Charles memoir, called Jack Charles: Born Again, was published on 18 August 2020 by Penguin publishers. The book was also shortlisted by the Australian Book Industry Awards for the 2020 Biography Book of the Year.

In April 2014, Jack Charles received the Victorias Green Room Award for Lifetime Achievement.
