Sega and Creative Assembly, the creators of Alien: Isolation and the Total War games, announced a brand-new multiplayer sci-fi first-person shooter called Hyenas on Wednesday. This game, which is now available on consoles and PC, involves players in the role of a huge bunch of scavengers who fight to steal priceless pop culture loot from Mars billionaires and opponents. Unlike the Hyenas'' trailer, the loot includes Sonic the Hedge

In Hyenas'' fiction, the games'' official description suggests that:

In The Taint, a giant orbiting slum, Earth is gone, the rich have colonised Mars, and the rest of humanity is living their worst life. While humanity is striving to survive, the Mars billionaires are more concerned about fulfilling their nostalgic dreams. Plunderships, massive retail spacecrafts, and salvaged pop-culture paintings, are all groaning at space-high prices to satisfy their demands.

Battles in Hyenas will be held in zero gravity, using futuristic weapons and defensive measures, such as protective foam that can imprison your enemies or set up on-the-fly walls. At the games website, interested players may register to take part in an alpha test.

Hyenas will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. A release date has been no longer announced.
