The games, including Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable, have all been released on Steam, according to Atlus on Monday. The games are also coming to PlayStation 5, but the other two will be on PlayStation 4. This news comes a day after the publisher revealed all three titles will be available on Xbox platforms and Game Pass over the next year.
Persona 5 Royal is currently available on Sonys latest console via PlayStation 4backward compatibility. Persona 3 Portable was originally conceived for PSP, but Persona 4 Golden was a PlayStation Vita title. Golden has already come to Steam, but this is the only mainline Persona game to do so, so this will be a PC first for Portable and Royal.
The Persona games will not be released on Nintendo Switch, according to the latest entry in the Personas parent series, Shin Megami Tensei 5, and the Persona 5 protagonist Joker appeared as a DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It''s probable that Nintendo might reveal some ports in its next, undated Nintendo Direct.
Persona 5 Royal will be released on Xbox and Game Pass on October 21, with Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden to be released sometime in 2023. Atlus did not reveal a release window for the PlayStation 5 and Steam versions of these games, and it is currently unclear if Persona 5 Royal will be released first on Xbox or simultaneously on all three platforms this October.
Update (Jun 21): This story has been updated in order to clarify which games were coming to which PlayStation platforms.
