Final Fantasy 14 is still expanding and is being tweaked. Over a decade since its launch and nearly a decade after its successful re-release, which surpassed the game''s long-distance potential, update updates and patches continue to improve and alter the MMORPG.
This game''s ability to buy and customize houses is a powerful component. However, the FF14 community has been requesting that private housing be increased instead of being hogged by Free Companies. So, an update is making this difference.
Many players were dissatisfied with the fact that a large number of housing plots were reserved for Free Companies (which are similar to guilds essentially) as players wanted to purchase their own personal houses per character rather than per Free Company. This is because the number of Free Company homes is increasing, according to the latest revision, which used to be a major factor for growth. This is especially because the number of people seeking housing in Final Fantasy 14 has risen.
On the game''s official blog, the list of wards dedicated to free business/private plots will be revised. Currently, Free Company Housing for wards 1 to 18 will be revised towards 1 to 9. Similarly, Private Housing will be revised from wards 19 to 24, to wards 10 to 24.
Square Enix clarifies that the revisions toward classifications will not impact any previously purchased plots. In addition, housing areas for the four New Worlds added to the European data centre will be classified differently. This is in line with the recent developments and servers for European players, which can be read about here.
The changes will begin on July 10 at 16:00 BST and July 11 at 1:00 AEST. Final Fantasy 14: A guide for how to buy housing is also available.
