Fortnite offers absurdity as a starting point. It''s a game in which characters like Rick Sanchez, Naruto, Darth Vader, and Tom Holland (Spider-Man Holland, Uncharted Holland) can take up arms in a 100-player battle royale arena.
Yet, YouTuber Ryan, who goes by the monicker 12th Hour, manages to make its world even more horrifying and a lot creepier with his custom-made events. Most recently, he shared a video for an imagined event inspired by the viral hit mafia game, Among Us, that adds horrifyingly large crewmates to the Fortnite world.
As the player character stands, the giant monstrosity starts approaching. The screen fades to black, and then cuts to a crewmate at an emergency meeting table from Among Us, covered with a Fortnite map. From there, I will not spoil what happens next, but its a little sussy.

These custom events aren''t an in-game mod, but rather a complicated process of recording and editing footage using visual effects. Ryan begins by sculpting in-game content to make the character appear like it is actually in the game. Then, he selects the crewmate for additional effects and then renders it as viewing. The Among Us clip takes around three days to complete.
Ryan grew up producing Fortnite montage videos, before moving on to making personalized gameplay. When the new Among Us and Fortnite collab was released, he decided to continue producing videos in a similar direction. I knew it would also be a great experience to make, by means of a huge among us character in Fortnite.
For him, it''s about having fun with Fortnite and generating content. My favorite feature about making these events is just being able to be creative, having fun, learning, and ultimately doing what I love.
