How the Revenge of TMNT: Shredder Incentivizes Playing Non-Turtle Characters ...

Ninja Turtles: Shredder''s Revenge is a love letter to both fans of the 1987 TV cartoon and beat ''em up games. Mega Ran, Mika Patton, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon take part in the arcade game in over two hours, oblong with friends or strangers.

Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo, and Donatello are some of the most powerful Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Each turtle has their own unique stats and playstyles. April O''Neil, Splinter, and Casey Jones all add something special to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder''s Revenge. Their names may not be on the cover, but their presence can be evident throughout the entire game.

Stats Make The Characters

The only non-turtle characters you may select are April O''Neil or Splinter Upon starting Shredder''s Revenge. Although April is the same, she is able to use her speed more than Michaelangelo, giving him greater damage per attack. However, his high speed makes him capable of attacking enemies with his stretchy cartoon appendages and walking stick from a comfortable distance.

Casey is the only unlockable character in Shredder''s Revenge, and the developers at Tribute Games seem to have caught him away for a reason. Despite his speed and ability, Casey can play almost anything on-screen without much effort. Along with Leonardo, Casey is one of two characters that provides a perfect balance of stats for players.

Those who want to use Michaelangelo with a little more depth can go for April. Master Splinter is a great option for players who like to hit hard but slow. Lastly, those who want to go all out can pick Casey Jones. Tribute Games ensured that playing each character in Shredder''s Revenge feels how they expect them to, giving them an additional layer of immersion when playing the game.

Design and Visuals Matter, Too

Each character in Shredder''s Revenge must be well-known outside of competition, whether through online or offline. Each of the four characters should stand out amidst all the carnage. This is where playing as the non-turtle characters can help players. Tribute Games made its best by highlighting each turtle''s special attacks and radical moves, but without them, picking a turtle out from his brothers on screen becomes a challenge in and of itself.

April, Splinter, and Casey, on the other hand, stand out like sore thumbs. But April can easily be seen owing to his aggressive appearance, brown fur and fuchsia robe. Splinter''s enormous frame, hockey mask, and workout outfit make them more accessible to youngsters. Considering Shredder''s Revenge may be hectic with more players, those who are at an extra time may find it easier to play the game by picking a non-turtle character.

Ninja Turtles: Shredder''s Revenge allows players to live the thrill of playing as the turtles, but it also gives them the option to select the turtles'' loyal members. Tribute Games has already announced that more content for the game is going to come after its launch, so here''s to the hopes that it adds more playable, non-green characters to the roster.

The teenage mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder''s Revenge can be purchased on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
