Why is it so late to launch NCIS: Los Angeles season 14? ...

CBS had revealed the premiere date for the Los Angeles Season 14 on the day, and we would not be surprised if you had an almost immediate reaction to what you saw.

After all, there was one thing that almost immediately entered our mind when we saw the Sunday, October 9 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, why is it so late? Its the final fall series on CBS to debut, which is surprising given that it is likely to have at least 20-22 episodes to air from that point until May.

The whole schedule is available here, but we think there are a few things that the network is preparing to air on this spot. First and foremost, CBS is reserving Sunday, September 25 for the Big Brother 24finale, and that show is coming to a close on Sunday, October 2; it may even happen when the NFL is inclined to push things back on CBS in the fall. It may be a tough pill to swallow for everyone out there (us included) eager to get new stories from this world, although we understand all of that in part.

CBS has yet to confirm anything on this subject, but it fully acknowledges that we still remain irritated about it. Odds are, when we hear an announcement one way or another, we expected a lot of improvement.
