The best fights in Tekken are personal, and the majority of them are. Back in 1994, the first entry in the series was published, and it is still going strong, with new entries, characters, and fighting styles. Tekken is equipped with one of the most advanced combat styles in games, except for some unusual characters.
The renowned series is now being transformed into a 3D anime, starting from the events of the third game. With so many characters involved in Tekken, it''s anyone''s guess who will and will not be in the series. However, some of them are already confirmed. Spoilers for Tekken: Bloodline
9 Jin Kazama
Jin is the protagonist of the third game, and from what we''ve seen so far, for the anime as well. A skilled man who learns how to fight from his mother and grandfather, he goes on a quest for revenge against Ogre for killing his mother.
Devil Jin, who is also shown in the teaser and had a major role in the third game, will be somewhat resentful to see his younger self once more.
8 Jun Kazama
Our protagonist''s mother was introduced in the second game and had a relationship with Kazuya Mishima. However, there were a few clues about their relationship, which could be helpful to the viewer.
She teaches Jin to fight only for peace because she knows about his bloodline through Kazuya. It is her death that leads him to quest for revenge. She likely won''t be around for long as we know her fate.
7 Heihachi Mishima
Heihachi, the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu and his grandad of the year, is the one who trains Jin, so he can have his revenge. Despite his charisma, he is one of the worst people in Tekken, who is committed to nothing but strength. He can also be very sadistic, and works only if it fulfills his own aim.
Without saying much about his intentions in the third game, you may avoid spoilers for the anime, but avoid spoilers, even malice and a very weird sense of humor. However, prepare for fantastic action scenes, since he can battle people with actual powers with only his bare hands and feet, since he''s quite a kicker.
6 Kazuya Mishima
Kazuya Mishima, who appears in the video, is Heihachi''s son and Jin''s father. He was the protagonist of the very first Tekken game, and the antagonist of the second. A boy who made a deal with the devil to revenge his father, he''s quite a fearful figure.
While at Tekken 3, he''s a bit busy being dead. However, his obsession with the Devil affects his genes and complicates Jin''s life, so he might appear in flashbacks, for example, talking about such a moment. They may also bring him back earlier than expected since he is revived in Tekken 4.
Ogre, the God of Fighting, the big bad evil guy from the third game, is a powerful creature who was accidentally removed from his position. He is looking for powerful martial artists to gain control of his abilities, thus leading him into a rampage that prevents the lives of a few characters from the previous games, with Jun as one of them.
He''s an important asset to be reckoned with, and he even has a powerful transformation to use as things get tough. He appears extremely impossible in the teaser, withstanding attacks and knocking people over with ease.
Ganryu was a well-known anime player who excelled in the very first Tekken game. After his actions, he decided to participate in the King of the Iron First Tournament.
The fact that he does not appear in the third game, however, makes his addition to the anime more popular. Heihachi''s role is a fresh approach to the character.
3 Paul Phoenix
Paul, who has been a true character in every major entry of the game. One of the most powerful characters in gameplay, he is a good person who is willing to pay for money. He''s also a bit overconfident and short-tempered for his own benefit.
It''s difficult to say whether or not he''ll have a major role in the series. There''s a possibility that he won''t be much more than an opponent in the tournament, however. Despite the teaser''s striking tone, there''s a possibility that he will become a comic relief character outside of combat.
2 Leroy Smith
Leroy is one of the most recent additions to Tekken, which he was introduced as a DLC character in Tekken 7. He lost his family at a very young age due to the actions of the Mishima Zaibatsu, and in the game, seeks to understand why so many bad things are caused by it.
Since the series will take place during the events of Tekken 3, his appearance here is quite certain. Though his backstory will likely remain the same, his reason to participate in the tournament is unknown.
1 King 2
King 2 is a fan favorite, mostly because of his mask and frightening grapple attacks. Despite the fact that the King mantle has passed down between actors, the King from the beginning isn''t the same from Tekken 3 onwards.
King 2 is in a similar situation as Jin; he lost his mentor, King 1, at the hands of Ogre, and even received training from King 1''s mentor, Armor King. One interesting detail about the character is that he only speaks via Jaguar growls, and it is unknown how or if he''ll talk in the series.
