Hong Kong's Shadowrun: The Best Racter Build

Hong Kong's Shadowrun: The Best Racter Build ...

Your companions in Shadowrun: Hong Kong will evolve over the course of the game just as you do, and you have some influence on how they do it every day. Every now and then, you''ll be presented with a choice between two upgrades for them to take, whether they be new skills or upgrades to existing ones.

When it comes to Racter, your Rigger in the safeboat, his ability is mostly geared towards making Koschei, his Drone of death, a better combatant. Nevertheless, there are a few strategies you may customize.

Racter''''s Best Skills

After every two shadowruns you complete, your companions will level up. As Racter joins later than most other characters, you''ll be able to level him up as soon as you get him.

The majority of Racter''s abilities affect his Drone, Koschei, so it should be no surprise how he is meant to be used in combat. Deploy Koschei in every combat encounter to get the most out of this character.

Upgrade Predator Mangler
1 Increased Accuracy: Koschei''''s accuracy increases by 5%. Move Speed: Koschei gains +1 Movement.
2 Shotgun Mount: Koschei gains a shotgun attack which deals an additional 2 DMG at the cost of 5% accuracy. Rotary Saw: Koschei gains a rotary saw attack that has a huge critical chance. This attack has a 2-turn CD.
3 Overclock: Racter''''s Overclock ability now gives Koschei +2 AP and +2 Movement. Repair: Racter''''s Repair ability can now be used every 3 turns instead of 5 turns.
4 Firearm Systems: Koschei''''s ranged attacks now pierce 2 Armor. Melee Systems: Koschei''''s melee attacks now cause 2 bleed DMG per turn for 2 turns.
5 Ares Heavy Laser: Koschei can now fire a heavy laser, which does increased HP DMG, AP DMG, and has more accuracy than normal attacks. Costs 1 AP and has a 2-turn CD. Rip and Tear: Koschei can now use a melee attack that strips 4 Armor from the target. Has a 2-turn CD.

Racter''s upgrades are fairly dividing between ranged and melee, with Predator upgrades being ranged and Mangler upgrades being melee. These upgrades are pretty effective in bringing those that feel the most powerful every time.

Increased Accuracy, Rotary Saw, Overclock, Firearm Systems, and Rip and Tear would be part of this project.

Several upgrades are fairly identical to others, but more accuracy is far more appreciated than increased movement speed, and the advantage that the upgraded Overclock has given it is like a souped-up haste spell. More AP means a better turn economy, which is one of the best ways to increase momentum in your fight.

With Overclock, it''s not out of the realm of possibility to grant Racter a second Drone from your collection. His Drone Control isn''t that impressive, but additional bodies on the battlefield will always be beneficial and Overclock is able to make them work quite well.

The final upgrade is the one with the most leverage. Rip and Tear have only been chosen here for the fantastic Armor stripping, since late-game opponents with a ton of Armor are among the most annoying in the game.
