Mary Berry, a former Harvard Bakeoff alumni and a Best Home Cook, has established herself a new BBC series.
The show, which will feature six episodes on BBC Two, will air on Mary Berry: Cook and Share. As the name implies, it''ll consist of making food to share, from romantic dinners for two to batch cooking for large gatherings.
Mary will travel across the United Kingdom to see families participate in several celebrations, including some summer events. Will Mary see it raving up at Glastonbury? She does like Ibiza, so we hope so.
Mary herself is quoted as saying: "Sharing recipes is always an absolute joy for me, and this series is the ultimate guide, obvious to a crowd or just for two."
"I''m able to enjoy seeing some spectacular parts of the country at a variety of occasions, gatherings, and beautiful locations for this new series.
"I have always believed that there is no better way to spend time with family and friends than on fresh home-cooked foods, which I now consider to be so important."
The series is being accompanied by a Cook and Share book, which was announced by Mary''s long-time assistant Lucy Young. The book will be available in September, while the series will follow shortly.
Lucy Young (and Mary Berry) (@lucyyoungthecook) shared a post.
Paul Hollywood, Mary''s former Bake Off co-judge, recently spoke about the show''s controversial move to Channel 4, where he was the only on-screen face to remain.
"Oh, I was called every name under the sun," he said. "It was so horrendous, I was so thankful.
"No one wants to be described as the villainous, especially when it came to sustaining a job that I loved. "But you can''t betray." David Walliams actually took me aside and said: ''Mate, it''s just a game. Enjoy it.'' I''m still feeling sorry, though. I apologized. After a while, I realized: ''OK, I''ll be your bad guy.''
Among the most recent Bake Off winners, Giuseppe has revealed his own cookbook, and here''s all you need to know about it.
The Great British Bake Off is available on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. It''s also known as The Great British Baking Show, and it is available on Netflix.
