Naomie Harris, who plays 007 in James Bond, is assisting Chiwetel Ejiofor in her role.
Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh are guest speakers for the Good Morning Britain show. The Miss Moneypenny actress admitted that she would be grateful if Ejiofor was the new Bond.
"We were walking around the red carpet yesterday and apparently Chiwetel''s name is on the list of people to be the next Bond. I didn''t know this, but I''m sorry!" she said.
Harris, who directed Eve Moneypenny in Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (2021), said she will make a difference to the franchise.
"I''d love to be back in the game. I just love everyone involved in the team, but we''re all members of our family."
Ejiofor and Harris are currently working together in the adaptation of The Man Who Fell to Earth, based on Walter Tevis'' original novel of the same name.
Ejiofor, a Doctor Strange actor, is directing the cast as an alien who arrives on Earth at a critical time in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine what Earth''s future should look like.
As she fights to save two planets, Harris plays scientist and engineer Justin Falls.
Jenny Lumet, the creator of Star Trek: Discovery, and the Clarice writer, have all made the television adaptation.
Kurtzman''s first set is expected to debut in the United Kingdom and Ireland on Wednesday (June 22).
