Hunter Schafer, star of Euphoria, is the latest name to star in The Hunger Games'' The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

Tigris Snow, the cousin of Coriolanus Snow, will play the actress in everything from his role as mentor to the foundation of his moral compile.

Josh Andres Rivera and Rachel Zegler star in the drama, as well as Tom Blyth of The Gilded Age. Blyth will play the lead role as the young Coriolanus Snow, played by Donald Sutherland in the original film series.

The film will focus on Coriolanus, 18, whom Hunger Games fans will already know as Panem''s tyrannical president years before he can rise.

The official synopsis of the film states: "Coriolanus Snow is the last hope for his fading lineage, a once-proud family that has fallen from poverty in a post-war Capitol."

"With the 10th annual Hunger Games approaching, the young Snow is concerned when he is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Zegler), the girl tribute from impoverished District 12. However, after Lucy Gray defiantly singing during the reaping ceremony, Snow believes he may be able to turn the odds in their favor. "

Francis Lawrence, who previously directed Catching Fire, Mockingjay Part One, and Mockingjay Part Two, will play the script on Tuesday. Suzanne Collins''s novel of the same name was first released in 2020.

In the pre-production, a recent update claimed that progress on the film was "very, really good."

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes will be released in cinemas on November 17, 2023.
