The film about the Stranger Things star's first trailer is the first ...

Winona Ryder, star of Stranger Things, is developing a new film, and the trailer for it has just gone viral.

Gone in the Night stars alongside Dermot Mulroney (The Purge), John Gallagher Jr (Westworld), Owen Teague (It Chapter Two) and Brianne Tju (Scream). It is directed by Eli Horowitz, the co-creator of Homecoming.

The plot follows the aftermath of a lovers'' getaway gone wrong when Kath (Ryder) and her boyfriend Max (Gallagher Jr. arrive at a remote cabin in the redwoods, where they discover a mysterious young couple (Tju and Teague) there.

When Kath wakes up the next morning, she discovers that her boyfriend has gone with the girl.

Kath then becomes obsessed with finding an explanation. It''s not that familiar, either. Sitting by the trailer, you''ll enjoy this film if you like her as Joyce Byers in Stranger Things.

As the trailer plays out, Kath and Max arrive at the cabin and the aftermath of his disappearance. Kath then decides to investigate the disappearance (and who this mysterious girl is) by contacting the person whose cabin she rented (Mulroney).

Mulroney replies: "Can''t do a stakeout without a partner" when Kath says she will find her.

Before she announces her voiceover, Tju''s character sees licking a lollipop that appears to have been depleted in blood. "People are not responsible. When they want something, they''ll do everything they need."

It''s not long before the final two episodes of Stranger Things season 4 will be released.

The Netflix series began on July 1, with a revealing new trailer for the season''s second volume.

David Harbour, a co-star, recently shared a touching tribute to Ryder, stating her performances as Joyce "the vital beating heart behind every season."

The UK has no release date for Gone in the Night. It will be released in the United States on July 15.

Season 4 of Stranger Things gets underway on July 1, streaming on Netflix.
