Another day, another new project for a Sex Education star emerges. This time, James Purefoy AKA Remi Milburn is on the lookout for Fisherman''s Friends 2.
Following the success of the first film, which was originally released in 2019, Purefoy is reprising his role as band member Jim for Fisherman''s Friends: One and All.
The feel-good movie reflects Fisherman''s Friends'' history not to be confused with the throat lozenges. It is a testament to the success of the traditional shanty-singing folk group.
As the first trailer for the Fisherman''s Friends sequel comes to light, the follow-up promises to revisit the band as they enter a stormy new chapter following the unexpected success of their debut album No Hopers, Jokers, and Rogues.
"We''re rejoining the world''s oldest ''buoy band'' a year later, struggling to navigate the obstacles, obstacles, and challenges of their newfound fame," a new synopsis says.
"Fisherman''s Friends: One and All" follows the famous shanty singers through the highs and lows, as life-long friendships are put to the test and they battle the dreaded "curse of the second album."
For the sequel, James Purefoy, Maggie Steed, Dave Johns, Sam Swainsbury, Jade Anouka, and David Hayman return to the salty air.
Richard Harrington of Gangs of London is also a new band member, including Ramon Tikaram, Joshua McGuire of Anatomy of a Scandal, and singer-songwriter Imelda May.
While school''s out, James Purefoy isn''t the only Sex Education guy who is doing a great job with a new show, and it''s a lot of fun to see. Ncuti Gatwa is also a big fan of Doctor Who.
On Friday, August 19, Fisherman''s Friends: One and All will be released in cinemas. Meanwhile, episodes of Sex Education are available on Netflix.
