Two new series have confirmed the future of Love Island

Two new series have confirmed the future of Love Island ...

We are still in the belly of the Love Island in 2022 beast (and we thank you for that), yet ITV is already looking at the show''s future in the run this year.

As drama and romance continue to unfold in Majorca, ITV and production company Lifted Entertainment have confirmed that another two series of the competition is on the way.

Summers 2023 and 2024 are not discussed, nor is Love Island a big year, with both seasons expected to be available in 2023.

The so-called "winter" Love Island will return to South Africa in the New Year, before continuing as usual with a new set of Islanders in the summer months in Majorca. Both episodes will air on ITV2 and ITVX.

Paul Mortimer, the director of reality commissioning and controller for ITV2, promised viewers that 2023 would soon be referred to as "the Year of Love."

"Love Island has once again proven itself to be the country''s top talking point throughout the summer," he said in a statement.

"So, instead of serving up a Summer of Love, we thought we''d make 2023 the Year of Love with two full episodes."

Mike Spencer, an executive producer of Lifted Entertainment, shared the joy of going ahead with two additional series of "romances, bromances, and everything from there."

Our water bottles and swimwear have already been put on hold.

Love Island is available on ITV2 and is available via catch up on the ITV Hub and Britbox.
