Naruto Next Generations is the sequel to Masashi Kishimoto''s magnum opus Naruto. The series is set in a peaceful era where wars are still prevalent, and the world is largely better than before, thanks to Naruto Uzumaki. Although peace exists throughout all of the major shinobi towns, Boruto Uzumaki appears to have been completely destroyed, and two actors, namely Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki, stand amidst it all.
The shinobi age has passed, and by the looks of it Kawaki has a lot to do with it. However, the exact events aren''t known to fans because the story quickly goes back four years in time to Boruto Uzumaki''s journey as a Ninja. With that, it was clearly established that there will certainly be a timeskip in Boruto, however, the question remains: when will Boruto enter its timeskip?
When Will Boruto Enter Its Timeskip?
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will certainly not be as long as a manga series as Naruto''s predecessor, thus making events like entering the timeskip quite likely sooner rather than later.
As a result of the ongoing events in the story, Boruto is heading further towards his timeskip. With Isshiki Otsuki already died, all attention has already focused on Kawaki, who has inherited his true powers through a weaponized Karma already made by Amado. These are, without a doubt, great developments for two of the most important actors in the series.
Boruto''s previous chapter gave fans a good look at the other members of Team 7, including Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki, all of whom have a personal need to grow stronger in order to successfully defeat the Otsuki. All of this, however, Boruto''s timeskip could be integrated into the story soon after the Code Arc.
What The Timeskip Means For The Story
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will likely get its timeskip quite soon, and that is certainly important for the broadest part of the story. For one, fans will see Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki struggle to reach the level of Code, who is currently the strongest character in the whole story. As things are, they have absolutely no chance against the monster that he is, and they might need help from someone like Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, or even Kashin
Sarada Uchiha might gain new powers as a result of her Mangekyo Sharingan, although Sarada is not a stretch to assume that her greatest powers can come offscreen, which, while utterly sad, is true. With Orochimaru''s help, fans may see him becoming much stronger and alerting Boruto and Kawaki.
The timeskip might also mean great things for Naruto and Sasuke as the two certainly need to become stronger in order to meet their expectations and titles. Most importantly, the timeskip would mean that Boruto would begin to get closer to the prologue that fans for to see, where both Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki have entered a fight against each other amidst the collapse of the Konohagakure. Until then, only a timeskip may answer all the concerns raised
