Sonic Origins is a modern release of classic 2D Sonic games that gave the iconic Blue Blur his first start. Sonic Origins is a set of four Sonic games from the Sega Genesis/ Mega Drive era: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD.
For anyone who enjoys Sonic, or who has at least played any of the 2D games, such as the Sonic Mania, the owner will notice that Sonic goes through several stages from the left to the right, allowing hardcore players to get a run for their money. Mirror Mode, in Sonic Origins, turns every stage, and allows players to move from left to right, which can be jarring for those who enjoy traditional Sonic gameplay.
How to Unlock Mirror Mode in Sonic Origins
For those who desire a little extra extra power to their Sonic Origins experience, getting rid of Mirror Mode for the four Sonic games isn''t that complicated, though it can take a while.
Players who don''t have access to the Digital Deluxe version or the Start Dash pre-order pack will not have Mirror Mode unlocked from the start. To unlock it, players must just beat any of the Sonic games in the collection. After watching the credits roll, players will see the option "Spieg Mode" in the game''s menu.
And those who purchase Sonic Origins'' Digital Deluxe will have access to the Mirror Mode right from the start, as well as the following bonuses:
- Hard Missions
- 10 Letterbox Backgrounds
- Character animation in main menu
- Camera Controls over main menu islands
- Character animation during music islands
- Additional music from Mega Drive and Genesis titles
Players must decide if Sonic Origins'' deluxe version will be released in no time. For a price comparison, the base game costs $39.99, and the deluxe version is $5 more, at $44.99.
While there''s a Sonic Origins trophy or achievement for attempting Mirror Mode at least once, there''s no other achievement for completing any Sonic games with the new mode.
Sonic Origins is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
