Another trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder has been released by Marvel Studios. The trailer includes a slew of action and comedic highlights as well as a look at some of the unnamed celebrities.
The Thor: Love and Thunder trailer for Marvel Studios begins with Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) decimating a planet as Thor (Chris Hemsworth) requests for Valkyrie to be given a seat, which she admits to is imposing a huge sword. This newly assembled team flies off into the distance with a chariot pulled by some screaming goats, passing by two mighty celestials who watch them intently.
Thor begins to name off a member of his team, including Valkyrie, Jane, everyone''s favorite blue rock monster, Korg (Taika Waititi), and other filmmakers. The rest of the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer features a slew of quick action cuts, including the god of thunder himself going full Jean-Claude Van Damme and doing the splits to stop two bad guys. In the next trailer, Thor takes a break from attempting to pretend to be an "asgardian hand
Celestials are giant ancient creatures that date back to the beginning of the Marvel Universe. They were briefly seen in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, but were more heavily included in the 2021 Marvel Studios film Eternals. During that period, they discover that they have actually been sent to earth to ensure an event known as the emergence, which will destroy the planet.
Thankfully, the Eternals do not take off this effort, but obviously, based on this new Thor: Love and Thunder trailer, the celestials will continue to play a role in the MCU going forward. It''s possible that Gorr the God Butcher might target the victims.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in theaters on July 8th and 2022.
