Henry Czerny of 'Mission: Impossible' is a Horrifyingly Impressive character from 'Scream 6' ...

Scream shook the box office in a serious way earlier this year and a sixth film in the franchise was quickly greenlit, with almost every major surviving cast member returning for the sequel. Deadline is now reporting that Mission Impossibles Henry Czerny has joined the slasher project.

This is along with new potential targets Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Devyn Nekoda, and Josh Segarra, as the screenwriters for the film, and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett as the directors of the film. There have been concerns about the opening of the film in New York City, which they believe would be the first for the franchise. However, it has not been confirmed.

Although Neve Campbell isn''t returning for this upcoming film, many long-time franchise enthusiasts are disappointed. However, Czerny''s inclusion in Scream 6 is quite a feat. There isn''t any word on who Czerny would be playing in the first installment, called Mission: Impossible. Part One, which will be released next summer, is probably best known for starring Eugene Kittridg.

In the upcoming Bettinelli-Olpin and Gilletts horror series Ready or Not, the actor cleverly played a crazed father in a hide-and-skin way. This was a huge deal for a franchise like Scream. Because of all of that, it will be a pleasure to see Czerny reconnect with Radio Silence for this sequel.

Scream 6 will go onto theaters on March 31, 2023, and we should be receiving more information soon as cameras begin rolling. Until then, be on the lookout for Ghostface around every corner.
