Sadie Sink Teases Additional Moments of Max Opening Up in Volume 2 of 'Stranger Things 4.' ...

Sadie Sinks Max has already experienced a big shift in Stranger Things, but there''s also more personal development on the way in Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 coming to Netflix on July 1st.

Sink covers a good deal of Stranger Things 4 Volume 1, but there is no denying that she is the main character of one of the series'''' most popular series, Dear Billy. After spending a lot of time with a huge amount of grief and regret, Max is forced to confront her greatest anxieties face-to-face via Vecna.

Sink discussed her experience filming an emotionally challenging episode of Collider Ladies Night, posing a challenge she faced entirely on her own. While discussing how her prep process differs when faced with solo scenes versus scenes featuring more of the ensemble, Sink addressed Max''s catharsis:

Max that she offers to those around her is kind of different, as well as us. I think she kind of wants to come across as open-ended and difficult, as well as she is dealing with such a deep level of sadness. So to have those moments where she was just reading the letter to Billy, which felt like a great start to the film, because you just feel Max''s emotions building up and youre like, okay, when is it just gonna spill over?

Sink appears to have had even more opportunities to experience such a release, claiming that there are even more moments like that in the final two episodes of the season:

I think you get to see more of Volume 2 as well, but I think you''ll see more of her slowly opening up.

Sink reveals further information on exactly how Maxs Vecna''s encounter improved her appearance in the future:

This is something you really need to look into it because this is a character who is in severe hardship to the point where she has nearly given up, and Vecna kind of expresses that to her and now she is literally experiencing her own demons, like Billy right there, singing to her all of her innermost thoughts that she had hoped to hide for so long. And so for her to still see her friends showing up for her and telling her to fight and choosing to literally run towards the light at the end of the tunnel
