Winter is coming back on HBO.

Kit Harrington, star of Game of Thrones, will reprise his role as a sequel in the GoT series, which will feature Jon Snow, according to the BBC. Emilia Clarke, the co-star of Harrington, teased the sequel series from the start of the GoT season. There is no speculation if Clarke will be cast.

In a blog post titled SNOWand Other Stuff, author Martin clarified that there are four live-action replacement shows at HBO, one of which is the Harrington spin-off.

In a recent interview, Emilia Clarke mentioned that Snow was the idea of Kits, so that part is out, Martin cited the THR report breaking the news. Yes, it was Kit Harrington who brought the idea to us. Yes, they have already brought them in, and they are phenomenal.

Martin said that he is working on the series as well as other GoT shows, including The Hedge Knight, The Sea Snake, and Ten Thousand Ships.

Martin wrote that the Kits team has met me in Santa Fe and worked with me and my own team of excellent, professional writer/consultants to create the show.

All four of these new shows are still in the script stage, with reviews and approval being made, notes and notes being given. So far, Id love it, but there is no assurance when or if anything will be on any of these shows. So far, the likelihood of all four shows being on television is enormous. For whatever reason, it was never announced and it never leaked until today.

Martin clarified his remarks during the Santa Fe Literary Festival on the GoT prequel series House of the Dragon coming shortly after the release of Prime Videos Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Martin is very similar to House of the Dragon, implying that the screenwriters contributed some improvements to his original story.
