After finishing one of the most impressive wins in LEC history, the G2 Esports League of Legends team has climbed right where they left off by going perfect throughout the opening weekend of the 2022 Summer Split. The team has so far proved impressive, and the statistics are there to help reinforce that fact with Broken Blade and Flakked both leading the league with absurd KDAs.
According to league statistics, the talented top laner and AD carry are tied at the top of the LEC with a 44 KDA apiece. Broken Blade is tied with Caps for the league''s most kills with 19 each, while also racking up 25 assists and a single death. Flakked, on the other hand, leads all LEC marksmen with 14 kills, 30 assists, and one death.
Both players thwarted a wide range of unique champions throughout the opener. Flakked had his best carry game on Lucian, but he was just as impressive on Zeri and Senna, demonstrating his ability to be flexible in any team composition. Broken Blade played Gangplank and Yone, sustaining in G2s'' potential of dominance through superior teamfighting.
G2 continued to demonstrate why they have been one of the most fearful teams in the region, drafting multiple compositions while still maintaining their primary identity as the best teamfighting roster in Europe. Both Targamas, Flakked, and Broken Blade are all equal to their kill participation percentage, which means that they operate and depend heavily on their overall team play rather than on their individual dedication.
Caps and Jankos have climbed their play to new heights in the league, according to Oracles, while Jankos has the second-most assists in the league. Together, they are attempting to lead this young team to back-to-back championships on their journey to the World Championship.
G2 will be back in action this weekend with games against Team BDS and Vitality.
