The Best Thing It Could Do is Assassin's Creed Rift Breaking Away From Valhalla ...

In September, Ubisoft will be hosting a series of events to showcase the future of Assassins Creed. For many, there are four key possibilities: either an AC1 Remake, which Ubisoft has given back; AC Rift, the reported, more classic-style action-adventure title, and AC Nexus, a VR entry in the franchise.

Most popular of these rumored titles, the Assassin''s Creed 1 Remake and AC Rift are. The first is a bit of a tightrope walk in honor of its legacy and allowing long-time viewers, although AC Rift has the potential to be something new and old at the same time. According to Bloomberg, the initial report, AC Rift started as a expansion for Assassin''s Creed Valhalla before departing into its own title, ultimately boding

Assassins Creed Rift Doesnt Need Valhalla

Ubisoft has stated nothing in an official capacity about Assassins Creed Rift, but has apparently teased anything about it. It also states that Assassins Creed Rift would be set in Baghdad. Follow-up reports also suggested that Assassins Creed Rift would explore Basims from the past, in a smaller game more akin to the classic Assassins Creed action-adventure titles.

This, if indeed it is Ubisoft''s intentions, sounds amazing. It might be a major turning point for the franchise as fatigue sets in over Assassins Creed Valhalla. And making sure Basims story is its own game is a much better move than making it a Valhalla DLC.

If it were, it would likely have the same problems as other Assassins Creed Valhalla DLCs, which is due to them being interesting but ultimately inconsequential. It would make Baghdad and perhaps some of the surrounding areas a map, toss Basim there, and the parkour would suffer.

Ubisoft is likely to take a more traditional approach here, meaning Baghdad may be the main focus of the game. Despite being completely free from the Assassins Creed Valhalla, Rift must be capable of walking on its own. However, from the sounds of it, it could be that AC Rift is able to freely wall run, parkour, and make leaps of faith without being detonated to the Valhalla design.

The Assassins Creed Rift is reportedly in the works.
