Cate Blanchett, the cast of Netflix''s The School for Good and Evil, has found its latest A-list star.
The Thor: Ragnarok actress has been chosen as the narrative director of Paul Feig, directed by Bridesmaids.
Blanchett joins a star-studded ensemble with stars from Shang-Chi and Kerry Washington, who plays Charlize Theron in the roles of three teachers at the titular school: Professor Emma Anemone, Professor Clarissa Dovey, and Lady Lesso.
"And at the same time, we just met Cate Blanchett as the narration, so we''re very pleased," Feig said at the Women in Entertainment Summit in Los Angeles (via Comic Book).
"It hasn''t been officially disclosed yet, and it''s now available."
The film, derived from Soman Chainani''s novel, stars besties Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha Wylie, kidnapped and enticed to the School for Good and Evil, where their friendship will be put to the test.
Aristocracy is a place where ordinary young people are trained to be heroes and villains. While Sophie has princess ambitions and believes she''s perfect to become one, Agatha, with her dark appearances, seems a better fit to be a villainess.
The fortunes of the two pals are on the verge of being reversed, with Sophie being chosen for the School for Evil, leaving Agatha to attend that for good.
Laurence Fishburne is cast member of the School Master, Shadow and Bone cast, alongside Ben Kingsley, who plays Rachel Bloom and Joelle Dune.
In September 2022, The School for Good and Evil will be released on Netflix.
