The creator of Game of Thrones has confirmed his involvement with the Jon Snow spin-off show ...

George RR Martin, the creator of Game of Thrones, has announced that he will play on the Jon Snow spin-off series.

The author of the HBO fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire has reached an audience''s attention.

"Yes, there is a Jon Snow show," the writer said, adding that ecstatically, Kit Harington played the character for all eight seasons in the spin-off.

Martin, who played as executive producer on Thrones, was worried about the Jon Snow series, writing, "There''s not much more I can tell you," he said, but until HBO gives me a voice.

"I cannot tell you the names of writers/showrunners, since that has not been approved for publication yet, but Kit brought them in his own team and are fantastic."

Martin has revealed that he is on board with other success programmes, including 10,000 Ships, before the events of Game of Thrones. The show focuses on Princess Nymeria and is run by Amanda Segel, a person of interest producer.

The Jon Snow series is expected to pick up where we left off after the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.

While Harington is yet to respond to the news, one of his original co-stars, Emilia Clarke, has revealed some details about the series.

"[Kit] has told me about it," the actress said of Daenerys on the BBC.

"And I know it exists, and it''s happening."

"It''s been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he''s embedded it from the ground up. So what you''ll be seeing, hopefully, is certified by Kit Harington," says the author.

Elsewhere in the Game of Thrones universe, the prequel series House of the Dragon has just unveiled a first-look image of one of the dragons, Syrax.

Seasons 1-8 of Game of Thrones are available on DVD and Blu-ray. House of the Dragon will be released on August 21, 2022 in the United Kingdom.
