Riordan plays Nick Tilsley''s son Sam Blakeman in Corrie, while Stevenson plays Iain Dean in Casualty, and they''ve got a close collaboration for a short film Something Missing, which explains the potential that young carers face.

Sean, an 11-year-old boy who cares for his mother Suzanne, is diagnosed with early onset dementia (played by Emma Davies, who is not featured in the film), but Stevenson created and wrote the story, while Riordan''s father Paul is a soap veteran.

Jude Riordan (@justjude7) has shared a post.

"And that''s a WRAP for my first short film Something Missing. I can''t wait to see this finished film!" says the young actor after posting a photo of the four of them to his Instagram account.

"It took me four days to get everything done. Had the best time with the best team!" My Dad @paulrio27 and first project w @michaeltstevenson... Would I do another? Yes.

"This is a story very touching to our hearts," says a young carer Sean who is caring for his mother Suzanne with early onset Dementia, a story that is all about life for many young carers and needs to be told.

"I''m honored to serve as an ambassador for St Helens Young Carers @sth.yc," says the director of the organization. "I''m hopeful that you''ll all be able to see it."

Jude Riordan became the youngest ever winner of a National Television Award last year, while his older brother Zach recently made an appearance in Coronation Street in one of Sam''s stories.
