The directors of Game of Thrones have reunited with a star for a Netflix show ...

David Benioff and Dan Weiss, who play the game on Netflix''s next sci-fi thriller The Three-Body Problem, are reuniting.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pryce, the actor who directed the High Sparrow in Thrones, is now the third GoT associate to collaborate with John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) and Liam Cunningham.

Rosalind Chao, Eve Ridley, and Ben Schnetzer have all been cast in the drama.

The new series will feature Liu Cixin''s Hugo Award-winning novel, which reveals humanity''s first encounter with an alien civilisation.

As part of the series, two sequels, The Dark Forest and Death''s End, will be adapted, with Liu as a consultant producer.

Benioff and Weiss have praised the trilogy as the "most engaging science fiction series" they have ever seen.

"It takes] readers on a journey from the 1960s through the end of time, from life on our pale blue dot to the distant fringes of the universe. We look forward to spending the next years of our lives bringing this to life for our audience around the globe," they added.

Due to the author''s views, the US government has received a backlash from Netflix for "normalizing" the Chinese government''s incarceration of Uyghur Muslims.

Five Republican senators submitted a letter to Ted Sarandos, the streaming company''s CEO, to complain.

Dean Garfield, the vice president of global policy at Netflix, responded to the criticism, saying, "Netflix does not operate a service in China. Netflix is judging individual projects on their merits. Mr Liu is not the author of the series The Three-Body Problem, but we are unconcerned with his views.

Seasons 1-8 of Game of Thrones are available on DVD and Blu-ray. House of the Dragon is now filming and will air on August 21, 2022 in the United Kingdom.
